Laser hair removal is the most effective way of hair removal that is admired by many due to its effective and long-term results. During this treatment, the hair follicle is removed safely and painlessly by a laser beam that affects the target precisely. During the treatment, not only the hair follicle but also nearby cells that can form the hair are removed, so the hair has no chance to grow back.
The hair follicle is removed most effectively in the early stage of hair growth, as it contains the largest amount of melanin at that time. Body hair grows differently, so not every hair is in the same stage during the treatment. Hair affected at the early growth stage are eliminated faster, and additional treatments might be necessary for hair that are in other growth stages.
The results are visible after the first treatment, the hair falls out in the laser-exposed area, the amount of hair decreases for a long time, and the regrown hair is lighter and thinner. There are less ingrown hair and less cosmetic discomfort. An average of 6 treatments, which are usually performed every 4-6 weeks, is required to ensure a long-term and reliable result. Later, supportive laser treatments once a year may be required.
Laser hair removal can be performed on any area of the body. For women, hair removal treatments are usually performed on the upper lip, chin, cheeks, armpits, arms, bikini, and legs. Men are more likely to opt for laser hair removal treatments on the armpits, shoulder girdle, back, arms, chest and abdomen.

What do you need to know before the treatment?
- We do not recommend sunbathing, visiting a tanning salon or using self-tanning creams for four weeks before the laser hair removal.
- Do not remove hair with wax, sugar or other methods that may damage the hair root for at least one month before the treatment. You can shave or cut the hair without damaging the root. Do not use electric epilators.
- Before the treatment, the skin must be clean, and the hair must be shaved the day before or on the same day.
- Do not apply active or irritating products on the skin at least one week before the treatment.
- Inform the person performing the treatment if you are taking photosensitisers.
- If laser hair removal treatment is planned on the facial area, inform the specialist before the treatment if you have experienced cold sores. In this case, antiviral treatment may be prescribed first.
- If you are pregnant, we do not recommend this treatment and suggest other hair removal treatments.
- The treatment is not performed on tattoos or permanent makeup areas.
What to do after the treatment?
- We recommend avoiding sunbathing and indoor tanning and using a 50 SPF cream on open body areas.
