Kinesiotaping is a popular rehabilitation procedure that is performed using special thin, adhesive strips called kinesiology tapes. These strips come in a variety of colours and patterns, which gives a psychoemotional effect of colour therapy. The strip itself is elastic in its longitudinal direction. It is made of cotton with a little lycra. The back part of a strip has a special-shaped pattern coating with medical quality acrylic glue, the stickiness of which is activated by body temperature. The strip is not thick, it corresponds to the thickness of the human epidermis and does not limit the amplitude of movements, is waterproof, so the healing effect lasts 24 hours a day. Kinesiology tape can be worn for 2-5 days on the body. This method allows the body to heal itself, does not hinder to move.
By irritating different receptors, the strip reduces pain through the sensory somatic system and microscopically lifts the skin, thus facilitating lymph flow.
